Since MyFarm launched its first Rockit™ apple syndicate in 2017, international demand for this unique fruit has continued to outstrip supply.
Rockit™ is the world’s first commercially successful miniature apple that was developed and launched in New Zealand back in 2010. Brilliantly marketed as a snack apple, it is sold in tubes that command a price premium in high value markets across 28 countries.
Heretaunga owns one freehold orchard located at 193 Ormond Road, a premium apple growing area in Hawke's Bay, and a second lease-hold orchard block of 9 cha that was developed in 2020 as part of a larger Rockit™ orchard development located at Pukehamoamoa. The two orchards will form a portfolio to provide geographic spread and some of the benefits of scale.
