In 2020, New Zealand wines achieved a $2 billion export milestone. This was driven by strong growth in international demand for Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, which made up 87% of the total volume.
MyFarm’s latest Marlborough investment is a 103* canopy hectare vineyard in the Wairau Valley, close to MyFarm’s Patriarch and Loddon Lane syndicates, and planted predominantly in Sauvignon Blanc. Long-term lease to Misty Cove Wines, one of New Zealand’s fastest growing export wine producers, supplying major markets in North America, Europe and Scandinavia.
There is potential to increase yields from this vineyard following the construction of a new water storage facility now in the planning stage.
